No. Our Discovery session and Level 1 course are designed for complete beginners. You need to be a confident swimmer.
12 for Discovery and Level 1, with guardian sign-off for anyone under 18. Level 3 and instructor programs require age 18+.

Yes. Many students arrive solo. We'll place you in a small group or arrange a private session.
Discovery: 6 hours (half day). Level 1: 3 days. Level 2: 4 days. Level 3: 5 days.
No. We provide everything. You're welcome to bring your own mask or fins.
Medical clearance is required for Level 1 and above. Conditions that may affect eligibility include certain heart conditions, ear problems, asthma, and pregnancy. We'll send a medical form when you book.
AIDA is the oldest dedicated freediving certification organization, used as the competition standard. Courses are structured around defined performance requirements. Molchanov, developed by world record holder Alexey Molchanov, is the most technique-focused, with significant emphasis on breath mechanics and equalization from the first level.
All three are internationally recognized. If you plan to compete, AIDA is the standard. If you want the deepest technical understanding, Molchanov is exceptional. Contact us — we'll help you choose based on your goals.
Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, at the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula. Candelaria runs programs across different areas of Baja depending on the season and type of experience.
Cabo sits where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez meet — conditions vary by side and season. The Sea of Cortez side is generally calmer and warmer year-round. Peak season (April–September): 25–29°C, visibility 25–30m. Autumn (Sep–Nov): 20–23°C, visibility 15–25m. Winter (Dec–Feb): Coolest water, variable visibility. Spring (Mar–May): 25–29°C, whale sharks appear.
There is no bad season. April–June for mobula rays. October–November for the baitball. January–March for gray whales. Year-round for sea lions and open blue diving.
